Information
The PAScribe 4Fold Symmetry gave us, as its first facet, the Angular Confinement grid with a bounding box pattern for each letter. These have been redrawn, simplified and put into a workbook.
By systematically practicing through this workbook, you will gain a deeper understanding of the geometry of the Copperplate Script shapes. By teaching you exactly where to start, pause and stop the writing of the line, this new and updated angular confinement will help you to build greater accuracy in writing the script.
The angular confinement pattern also has the balancing flourishes tied to the grid so you can learn how to make these basic flourishes more easily and in a way which ties into the letters you will use them for.
This workbook covers the Majuscules in a wide and narrow letter format as well as some basic flourishes in their confinement patterns.
You will find both the A4 and US Letter Size sheets. Print the one appropriate to you. You can either write directly on the sheet or use it as a guide sheet. It will work for pencil, brush pen and nib & ink.
You will also find in the workbook, a link to video content to assist you with your understanding of how to use this workbook to get the best out of it.
I would love to see what you have done with the sheet. Please tag me @pascribe #pascribeACGrid
