Information This is the handout I use for the teaching of my Geometric Flourishing 2day workshop.
I developed this geometric model by looking deeper at my 4Fold Symmetry which is the basis how I teach and practise calligraphy. I found an Angular Confinement approach opens up the scope for a deeper understanding of the principles which govern a more structured flourish and allows for different kinds of flourished lines within the confinement architecture.
The scope of this framework can be applied to a variety of flourishing groups, just remember to look beyond the shapes you are thinking of. It is mostly what we are not writing which dictates balance.
